Job Description
Anticipated Salary: $23.08 to $25.24 per hour
The Administrative Assistant/Project Coordinator provides high-level administrative support to the Executive Director by creating meeting agendas, taking accurate minutes, identifying action items, and coordinating tasks and projects. This position is virtual and will require some travel to in-person leadership meetings and events.

Schedules and attends meetings, taking notes and recording minutes

Collaborates with leadership to set and maintain agenda for a variety of meetings

Identifies action steps from meetings and engages in appropriate follow up

Arranges travel and accommodations for leadership meetings

Collaborates with various departments on meeting coordination needs they may have

Handles highly confidential information

Coordinates Projects and tasks

Partners with Executive Assistant to the CEO on action steps and meeting preparation for the Executive Director.

Required Education and Experience
-
High school diploma; Bachelor’s degree in project management, business administration, communication, or related field preferred

Two (2) years of relevant work experience OR
-
Equivalent combination of education and experience

Great organizational and time management skills
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience using search engines (internet) for research projects

Demonstrated competencies with general technology, Microsoft Office Platforms (Outlook, Word,
-
Excel, Powerpoint, Teams, etc.), Google Platforms, Zoom, etc.

All clearances and background checks as required to work in a South Carolina public school
-
Ability to travel, sometimes overnight to quarterly leadership meetings as well as bi-monthly board meetings and additional meetings/conferences as requested (up to 20%)

Location
All staff must reside in the state of South Carolina or within 45 miles of the border.
This position is remote with the following travel expectations:

Attend local student outing 1-2 times per semester

Attend in-person professional development 1-3 times per semester

Attend back-to-school professional development in July (1-3 consecutive days)

Attend in-person board meetings or quarterly leadership meetings as requested (1-2 times per quarter)

This is a full-time position. Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week is required. Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday, typically 8-4 or as defined by the school.
