
Special Programs Administrator - Immediate Hire
Anticipated Starting Salary: $70,000-74,409.88
Time Off Plan: Week of July 4th, 25 days of PTO, MLK Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (Wed-Fri), Winter Break (Dec. 24 – Jan. 1)
The Special Programs Administrator provides leadership and support for the team focusing on improving the quality of teaching and learning for students in selected services of Response to Intervention (RTI), Section 504, Special Education, homebound, and ESL Program.

- Implements, evaluates, and maintains compliance for Special Programs (Special Education, Section 504, Multilingual Learners, and Medical Homebound)
- Serves as liaison between school and other agencies, including participation in agency meetings, hearings, and resolutions
- Monitors, interprets, and determines intervention efficacy for schoolwide data reports
- Stays informed of best practices and state/federal laws regarding student services
- Coordinates and conducts professional development activities
- Collaborates with stakeholders in selection and placement of students
- Organizes curriculum and instruction for target groups
- Creates and maintains standard operating procedure manuals
- Recommends and writes policies
- Works with Testing Coordinator to facilitate appropriate assessments
- Demonstrates skills in data gathering and analysis, project planning and evaluation
- Deep understanding of instruction in reading/literacy, math and behavior interventions
Supervisory Responsibility
5-8 Number of direct reports
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study
- Two (2) years of relative work experience; bachelor’s degree in education or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- MS 365 proficient
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Ability to clear a required background search
Required Qualifications
- Creative problem-solving skills to motivate at-risk students to engage in school and learning;
- Experience working with at-risk learners, including those in poverty;
- Strong data-analysis, communication and program management skills;
- Self-motivated;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.); Web proficiency;
- Ability to travel 20% of the time, including to in-person PD, quarterly leadership meetings, and additional travel as requested;
- Ability to clear required background check.
Required Licensing/Certification
Valid Special Education teaching certificate
Preferred Qualifications
- Management of a team
- Advanced proficiency with various computer-based software (SIS, Graphing Tools, Data Dashboards, Microsoft)

This is a full-time position. Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week is required. Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday, typically 8-4 or as defined by the school.
