Job Description

Anticipated Salary: $21.63 to $24.72 per hour

Time Off Plan: 20 days of PTO. Additional time off: Week of July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (Wed-Fri), Winter Break (Dec. 24 - Jan. 1), MLK Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day

 

The School Based Enrollment Specialist supports the activities related to student enrollment, record and system management. This position acts as the school’s advocate or representative.

  • Manages student enrollment and re-enrollment process

  • Serves as point of contact on enrollment issues for students, prospective students, parents, administrative personnel, and reporting agencies

  • Ensures state compliancy guidelines are met for all incoming enrollment documents

  • Manage, develop, and ensure implementation of enrollment process

  • Create and maintain training processes and guidelines as it relates to school operations

  • Assists with state compliance requirements/reports

  •  Coordinate efforts to ensure list of required documents for initial approval and reregistration is accurate and appropriate

  •  Coordinate efforts between school and Enrollment Center to review/implement processes for document approval pathway

  • Manage school level process for approvals related to school/local requirements

  • Manage and coordinate assigned school retention efforts

  • School Operations Backup

  • Assists administration with various projects

  • Periodic onsite presence required

  • Other duties may be assigned

 

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Two (2) years of related experience and/or training OR

  • Equivalent combination of experience and education

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Google Docs, Forms, Sheet, Talk 

  • Strong technology skills including database and spreadsheet skills 

  • Ability to create database as well as import/export data 

  • Experienced using search engines (internet) for research 

  •  Experienced using a student information system and/or other type of database 

  • Ability to clear required background check

 

Preferred Education and/or Experience

  • Associate degree (AA) or higher preferred

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or related experience

Location

All staff must reside in the state of South Carolina.

This position is remote with the following travel expectations:

  • In-person orientation

  • All-staff professional development in July (2-3 days)

  • Quarterly Operations team meetings

  • Additional travel expectations will be discussed in the interview proces

This is a full-time position. Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week is required. Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday, typically 8-4 or as defined by the school.
