Operations Manager - CASC

Candidates must be located in the state of South Carolina.

 

Anticipated Hiring Range: $58,000 - 68,000

Time Off Plan: 25 days PTO. Additional days off: MLK Day, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, Week of July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (Wed - Fri), Winter Break (Dec. 24 - Jan. 1)

 

Description

The School Operations Manager performs and/or oversees various aspects of school operations with an emphasis on compliance activity at all levels, internal and external to the organization.

  • Develop and manage relationships with partner districts, state and other education stakeholders;
  • Oversee and maintain student records and data; creates/implements/documents processes that ensure student data validity in K12 and 3rd party databases;
  • Act as point-of-contact and manages reporting issues including all local, K12, state, and federal reporting requirements;
  • Work with administrative staff to ensure the school is in compliance with and meets all audit requirements;
  • Manage the development of school policies and procedures, training standards and curriculum enhancements;
  • Assist in student recruitment and the planning of school events;
  • Oversee communication between the Company, students and families and districts related to student enrollments, registrations, withdrawals and end-of-year reclamation efforts;
  • Supervise and manage office staff and assists with a wide variety of personnel support issues; Makes daily work assignments and monitors the Enrollment and Registration team’s progress toward goals.
  • Systems integration- Develop, configure, and implement integration solutions using relevant technologies and platforms. Identify and resolve integration issues
  • Supplemental programs. Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies and best practices, and propose improvements to existing programming to positively impact student achievement
  • Instructional Technology- integrate data from various educational technology platforms, learning management systems, and other sources
  • Project coordinator for students schedules and available courses for enrollment season and term transitions.
  • Use Powerscheduler and other tools to create course catalogs for all grade levels and build out master schedules for schools
  • Assists with communication between the Operations Department and School Leadership
  • Supports data and logistics of major school events, such as Enrollment, Semester End Transition, Year End Transition, and State Testing
  • Follows established District procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, storage and disposal of records

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

Required Education, Experience, & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study
  • Four (4) years of relevant professional experience OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills
  • Great organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient MS365; web proficient
  • Strong technology skills
  • Experience using search engines (internet) for research projects
  • Experience using a student information system and/or other type of database
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time
  • Ability to clear required background check

Preferred Qualifications

  • Formal project management experience in fast-paced or start-up environment
  • Non-profit / education grants management experience
  • Experience with managing online learning

Non-certified staff are compensated based on a combination of education and relevant experience.

This is a full-time position. Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week is required. Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday, typically 8-4 or as defined by the school.
